The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 1:02 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Larry Smith, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Ataullahjan, Baker, P.C., Bellemare, Cools, Eaton, Marshall, Mitchell, Mockler, Neufeld, Pratte and Smith (12).

Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Massicotte and Ringuette (2).

In attendance: Alex Smith and Sylvain Fleury, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, the committee continued its consideration of the subject matter of all of Bill C-29, A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 22, 2016 and other measures. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 20.)

At 2:07 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
