The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 1:31 p.m., in room B30, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Boehm, Deacon (Ontario), Duncan, Eaton, Forest, Forest-Niesing, Klyne, Marshall, Mockler, Neufeld and Pratte (12).
In attendance: Alex Smith and Shaowei Pu, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament; Gaëtane Lemay, Procedural Clerk, Senate of Canada.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 2, 2019, the committee continued its consideration of the subject matter of all of Bill C-97, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 19, 2019 and other measures. Mr. Aubry and Mr. Coakeley made statements and answered questions.
At 2:31 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 2:35 p.m., the committee resumed.
Ms. Saab made a statement and, together with Mr. Boivin, answered questions.
At 3:15 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
