Pursuant to the order of the Senate of March 30, 2021, the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology met in camera this day by videoconference at 4 p.m. [ET], the chair, the Honourable Chantal Petitclerc, presiding. This meeting is considered to have taken place in the parliamentary precinct.
Members of the committee present by videoconference: The Honourable Senators Black (Ontario), Bovey, Dasko, Forest-Niesing, Frum, Kutcher, Manning, Mégie, Moodie, Omidvar and Petitclerc (11).
Other senators present by videoconference: The Honourable Senators Moncion and Munson (2).
Participating in the meeting: François Michaud, Procedural Clerk, Lori Meldrum and Elda Donnelly, Administrative Assistants, Committees Directorate; Laura Blackmore and Laura Munn-Rivard, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, the committee began its examination of the subject matter of those elements contained in Divisions 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 of Part 4 of Bill C-30, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 19, 2021 and other measures.
Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft report in camera.
It was agreed that the draft report adopted, that the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure be empowered to approve the final version of the report, taking into consideration this meeting's discussions, with any necessary editorial, grammatical and translation changes required and that the chair table the report in the Senate or with the clerk of the Senate at the earliest opportunity.
At 5:34 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 5:35 p.m., the committee resumed in public.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 27, 2021, the committee began its examination Bill C-210, An Act to amend the Canada Revenue Agency Act (organ and tissue donors).

Len Webber, M.P., Calgary Confederation, sponsor of the bill.
The chair made a statement.
Mr. Webber made a statement and answered questions.
It was agreed that the committee proceed to clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-210.
It was agreed that the title stand postponed.
It was agreed that clause 1 carry.
It was agreed that the title carry.
It was agreed that the bill carry.
It was agreed that the chair report Bill C-210 to the Senate.
At 6 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
