The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera this day at 11:32 a.m., in room C128, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Peter M. Boehm, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boehm, Boniface, Coyle, Dawson, Hartling, MacDonald, Ravalia, Richards and Woo (9).
Participating in the meeting: Brian Hermon and Nadia Faucher, analysts, Library of Parliament; Stav Nitka, Communications Officer, Communications Directorate.
It was agreed that senators’ staff be allowed in the room for the in camera meeting.
Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee discussed in camera a draft agenda (future business).
At 12:22 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 12:23 p.m., the committee resumed in public.
It was moved by the Honourable Senator Coyle that, subject to the approval of the Senate Administration, the following special study budget application made under the general order of reference of the committee, for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, be approved for submission to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration:

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
It was moved by the Honourable Senator Boniface that, subject to the approval of the Senate Administration, the following special study budget application regarding the Canadian foreign service, for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, be approved for submission to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration:
