The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:49 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Larry W. Smith, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Cools, Forest, Marshall, Martin, Mockler, Pratte, Raine, Smith and Woo (10).

In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Olivier Leblanc-Laurendeau, analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, the committee continued its study on Supplementary Estimates (C) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017.

It was agreed:

That the senators' staff be permitted to remain in the room during the in camera portion of the meeting.

Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee proceeded in camera to consider a draft agenda.

It was agreed:

That the draft report, as amended, be adopted;

That the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure be empowered to approve the final version of the report, taking into consideration this meeting's discussions, and with any necessary editorial, grammatical and translation changes required;

That the chair be authorized to table the report in the Senate, at the earliest opportunity.

At 9:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
