Extract from the Journals of the Senate of Monday December 12, 2016:

The order was called for resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Enverga, seconded by the Honourable Senator Stewart Olsen, for the second reading of Bill S-218, An Act respecting Latin American Heritage Month.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Enverga moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator White, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology.
