Friday, December 14, 2018 – Senator Nicole Eaton, in her role as Speaker pro tempore of the Senate, participates in the Governor General's Awards in Commemoration of the Persons Case ceremony in Centre Block, along with Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, the Honourable Geoff Regan, Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Maryam Monsef and six deserving recipients.
Thursday, December 20, 2018 – Senator Jim Munson meets David Paterson, a leader at Ready, Willing & Able, a national partnership of the Canadian Association for Community Living, the Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorder Alliance and their member organizations, working together to build a more inclusive workforce.
Wednesday, January 9, 2019 – Senator Wanda Elaine Thomas Bernard meets with Graduate Student Leaders from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Social Work. Senator Bernard was inspired by their commitment to lead the change they want to see.
Friday, January 11, 2019 – Senator Marilou McPhedran thanks Ambassador Marcel Lebleu and the Canadian Embassy in Colombia for helping facilitate a productive and informative day of meetings in Bogota, Colombia.
Thursday, January 10, 2019 - Senator Pierre J. Dalphond participates in a citizenship ceremony in Montreal, attended by 310 new Canadians from 53 different countries. Senator Dalphond was delighted to meet the families and share this precious moment with his new fellow Canadian citizens.
Tuesday, January 15, 2019 – Senator Joseph A. Day participates in the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum’s 27th Annual General Meeting in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Tuesday, January 15, 2019 – Senator Julie Miville-Dechêne speaks to Grade six students at l’École de la Rose-des-Vents in Cantley, Quebec. Part of a SENgage youth outreach event, Senator Miville-Dechêne spoke to students about the role of the Senate of Canada and her work as a senator.
