Your committee, which was authorized by the Senate on Thursday, March 21, 1996 and on Thursday, December 12, 1996, to examine and report upon the present state of the financial system in Canada, now presents a report entitled Summary of Concerns Regarding the Harmonized Sales Tax.

Your committee, to which was referred the Bill C-92, An Act to amend the Income Tax Act, the Income Tax Application Rules and another Act related to the Income Tax Act, has examined the said Bill in obedience to its Order of Reference dated Wednesday, April 23, 1997, and now reports the same without amendment.
