The Subcommittee on Boreal Forest of the Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met at 9:50 a.m. this day, in Room 505, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Senator Doris Anderson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Anderson, Spivak and Taylor (3).
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw, Research Officer; Media Relations Officer of the Subcommittee: Barbara Robson.
Also in attendance: The Official Reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to its order of reference to study the present and future of forestry in Canada: study of the Boreal Forest.

Mr. Dave Barron, Senior Vice-president, Environment, Resources and Technology;
Mr. Steve Stinson, Director, Finance and Business Issues;
Ms. Lucie Desforges, Director, Environment and Energy;

Mr. Joel Neuheimer, Manager, Market Access.
Mr. Barron made a statement and answered questions.

The Honourable Senator Spivak moved, -- That the Library of Parliament questions be sent to the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association for written response which will be filed as an exhibit with the Subcommittee.
The question being put on Motion, it was agreed.
At 11:00 a.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
