Extract from the Journals of the Senate of Thursday, February 13, 1997:

The Honourable Senator Kinsella for the Honourable Senator Comeau moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator DeWare:

That the Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries be authorized to examine and report upon the questions of privatization and quota licensing in Canada's fisheries, and;

That the Committee table its final report no later than March 31, 1998.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
