The Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration met at 8:30 a.m. this day, the Chairman, the Honourable Senator Kenny presiding.

Members of the Committee present: The Honourable Senators Cohen, Davey, Di Nino, Forrestall, Kenny, Milne, Petten, Poulin and Wood. (9)

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Stewart (1).

In attendance: Officials of the Senate.

The Committee proceeded in camera.

It was agreed that the Minutes of May 30, 1996 be adopted.

The Committee resumed its consideration of its priorities and projects for the coming session.

After debate,
It was agreed that the Committee would like to review DPW's communication plan regarding renovation projects as soon as possible so it can have input.

At 10:20 a.m. the Committee proceeded in public.

It was agreed that the budget of the Foreign Affairs Committee for 1996-97 be adopted as follows:

Professional and Special Services $7,700
Witnesses Expenses 1,600
Courier Services 500
All Other Expenditures 200
Total $10,000

At 10:35 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
