Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Cools, seconded by the Honourable Senator Sparrow, for the second reading of Bill S-3, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (plea bargaining).

After debate,

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The Bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Cools moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Adams, that the Bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.
