The Chairman: For the first item on the agenda, someone has to move that the members serving on the Special Committee on Cape Breton Development Corporation be as fellows.
Senator Corbin: I move that the following senators on the government side sit on the committee: Bill Rompkey, Pierre De Bané, Philippe Gigantès, Allan MacEachen, Doris Anderson, Joseph Landry, Richard Stanbury and, as ex officio members, Senator Graham and Senator Fairbairn.
Senator Kinsella: I move that the following senators from the opposition sit on the committee: Lowell Murray, John M. Macdonald, Finlay MacDonald, John Buchanan and Ron Ghitter. As was mentionned before, I also move as ex officio members Senator Lynch-Staunton and Senator Berntson.
The Chairman: "Membres d'office" is a nice expression we do not hear very often in French. This double motion is unexpected. Is someboby seconding it?
Senator Lewis: I second the motion.
[English]
The Chairman: Is it your pleasure to adopt the motions, honourable senators?
Hon. Senators: Agreed.
The Chairman: The second item on the agenda is a motion to report the nominations to the Senate.

Hon. Senators: Agreed.
The committee adjourned.
