The Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples, met at 10:00 a.m., this day, in Room 505, Victoria Building, the Chairman, the Honourable Charlie Watt, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Adams, Andreychuk, Austin, P.C., Chalifoux, Forest, St. Germain, P.C., Taylor and Watt (8).
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Mary Hurley.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday March 26, 1998, the committee continued its examination of Bill C-6, An Act to provide for an integrated system of land and water mangement in the Mackenzie Valley, to establish certain boards for that purpose and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

Chief Erasmus, Chief Nyuli, Chief Chicot, Chief Nadli, Elder Norwegian and Grand Chief Lockhart each made a presentation and answered questions from members of the committee.
At 12:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
