Extract from the Journals of the Senate of Thursday, May 28, 1998:

The Honourable Senator Castairs moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Joyal, P.C.:

That the Standing Senate Committee on National Finance be authorized to examine and report upon the expenditures set out in the Supplementary Estimates (A) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 1999.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
