The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs met this day at 3:30 p.m. in Room 356-S of the Center Block, the Chairman, the Honourable John B. Stewart, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Bolduc, Carney, P.C., Corbin, De Bané, P.C., Di Nino, Doody, Grafstein, Losier-Cool, Stewart, Stollery and Whelan, P.C. (12).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Fairbairn.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Mr. Peter Berg, Economics Division.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

The committee resumed consideration of its Order of Reference pertaining to relations between Canada and the Asia-Pacific region (See committee proceedings of October 29, 1997, Issue No. 2).
The witnesses each made a presentation and took questions from committee members.
At 5:30 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
