The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs met this day at 3:35 p.m. in Room 505 of the Victoria Building, the Chairman, the Honourable John B. Stewart, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Bolduc, Corbin, De Bané, P.C., Di Nino, Doody, Grafstein, Stewart, Stollery and Whelan, P.C. (10).
Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Kinsella and Mercier.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg, Economics Division.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

The committee resumed consideration of its order of reference pertaining to relations between Canada and the Asia-Pacific region. (See committee proceedings of October 29, 1997, Issue No. 2).
The witnesses each made a presentation and took questions from committee members.
At 5:45 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
