The Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration met in camera at 9:05 a.m. this day, the Chairman, the Honourable William Rompkey, P.C., presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators DeWare, Forrestall, LeBreton, Maheu, Nolin, Poulin, Robichaud, P.C. (Saint-Louis-de-Kent ), Rompkey, P.C. and Taylor (9).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Prud'homme (1).

In attendance: Mr. Paul Bélisle, Clerk of the Senate, and other Senate officials.

98-06-19/181 -- Budget application of Special Committee on Transportation Safety 1998-99

It was agreed, with Senator Maheu abstaining, that the budget application of the Special Committee on Transportation Safety for 1998-99 ($97,500) be approved.

At 9:15 a.m., the committee proceeded in camera.

At 11:10 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
