The Special Committee on Transportation Safety and Security met this day at 6:12 p.m., in Room 505, Victoria Building, the Chairman, the Honourable Senator Forrestall, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Adams, Forrestall, Perrault, P.C. and Roberge (4).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Charlie Watt (1).
In attendance: Keith Miller, Special Advisor on Aviation; Bruce Carson, Senior Advisor; John Christopher, Library of Parliament Researcher.

Bob Perkins, Assistant Air Safety Chair;

Ken Johnson, Executive Director.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on June 18, 1998, the committee continued its study on the state of transportation safety and security in Canada (see Issue # 1 for the complete text of the Order of Reference).
Ms Fox made a presentation and answered questions from members of the committee.
Mr. Perkins made a presentation and answered questions with Mr. Hagy from members of the committee.
Mr. Johnson made a presentation and answered questions from members of the committee.
At 9:20 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
