Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Hays, seconded by the Honourable Senator Robichaud, P.C., (L'Acadie-Acadia), for the second reading of Bill C-37, An Act to amend the Parliament of Canada Act and the Members of Parliament Retiring Allowances Act.
After debate,
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
The Bill was then read the second time.
The Honourable Senator Hays moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Banks, that the Bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce.
