The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met at 9:36 a.m., this day, in room 705, Victoria Building, the Chairman, the Honourable Senator Lowell Murray, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bolduc, Cools, Doody, Finnerty, Mahovlich, Moore, Murray, P.C. and Stratton (8).
In attendance: Mr. Guy Beaumier, Research Officer, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on April 7, 2000, the committee continued its study on Canada's Emergency and Disaster Preparedness.
The witnesses made their presentations and answered questions from members of the committee.
At 11:35 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
