The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs has the honour to table its
SEVENTH REPORT
Your Committee, which was authorised by the Senate on Thursday, October 14, 1999, to examine and report upon the ramifications to Canada of the changed mandate of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Canada's role in NATO since the demise of the Warsaw Pact, the end of the Cold War and the recent addition to membership in NATO of Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic; and of peacekeeping, with particular reference to Canada's ability to participate in it under the auspices of any international body of which Canada is a member, now tables a report entitled The New NATO and the Evolution of Peacekeeping: Implications for Canada.

EIGHTH REPORT
Your Committee, to which was referred Bill S-18, An Act to amend the National Defence Act (non-deployment of persons under the age of eighteen years to theatres of hostilities), has examined the said Bill in obedience to its Order of Reference dated, Tuesday, April 4, 2000, and now reports the same without amendment.
