The Standing Committee on Privileges, Standing Rules and Orders met at 6:00 p.m., this day, the Chairman, the Honourable Senator Austin, P.C., presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Austin, P.C., Corbin, DeWare, Grafstein, Grimard, Joyal, P.C., Kinsella, and Rossiter (8).
In attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
WITNESSES:
From Health Canada:
Mr. David A. Dodge, Deputy Minister.
From Borden, Elliot, Scott & Aylen:
Mr. George D. Hunter, Fact-Finding Investigator.
The committee resumed its consideration of the question of privilege raised by the Honourable Senator Kinsella.
Mr. Hunter answered questions.
Mr. Dodge made a statement and answered questions.
After debate,
It was agreed -- That further consideration of the question of privilege be postponed until the next meeting of the committee.
At 7:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
