The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day, at 8:34 a.m. in room 705, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Senator Leonard J. Gustafson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators: Biron, Chalifoux, Cordy, Day, Gustafson, Hubley, Tunney and Wiebe (8).
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: June Dewetering.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 20, 2001, the committee continues to examine international trade in agricultural and agri-food products, and short-term and long-term measures for the health of the agricultural and the agri-food industry in all regions of Canada. Terry Campbell made an opening statement and answered questions with Bob Funk and Pieter Kleinschmidt.
