Extract from the Senate Journals of Wednesday, April 25, 2001:

The Honourable Senator Robichaud, P.C., moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Graham, P.C., that the Bill C-8, An Act to establish the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada and to amend certain Acts in relation to financial institutions, be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
