Focus of visit

  • To discuss Canada's contribution to the efforts since September 11;
  • To understand the views of the US Congress and Administration about current and future military and security issues and how Canada relates to them;
  • To promote a better understanding of bilateral cooperation for homeland security as well as future US - Canada defence arrangements;
  • To examine the specific issues of NATO enlargement; Missile Defence System; NORAD; joint command questions; border questions and measures to combat terrorism
