The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries met this day, in camera, at 7:15 p.m. in room 505, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Gerald Comeau, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Adams, Comeau, Cook, Johnson, Mahovlich, Phalen, Robertson, Tunney, Watt (9).

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch, Library of Parliament: Claude Emery, Research Officer; Keli Hogan, Legislative Clerk.

The committee proceeded to consider a draft report and agreed to meet again on the report.

At 8:50 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.

The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries met this day, in camera, at 7:05 p.m. in room 505, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Gerald Comeau, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Adams, Comeau, Cook, Mahovlich, Phalen, Robertson, Tunney, Watt (8).

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch, Library of Parliament: Claude Emery, Research Officer.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 13, 2001, the committee continued its examin ation upon the matters relating to the fishing industry. (See Issue No. 1, March 20, 2001, for the full text of the Order of Reference.).

The committee proceeded to consider a draft report.

It was agreed - That senators' staff be permitted to stay.

The Chair informed the members that documentation was received following Senator Adams questions at the meeting of October 30, 2001.

It was agreed - That the Clerk send to the members the internet address of the documentation received so they can access the information.

It was agreed - That the researcher make changes to the report accordingly to what was accepted by the members.

It was agreed - That the report be adopted with the changes accepted.

At 8:30 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
