The Standing Senate Committee on Transport andCommunications met this day at 9:32 a.m., in Room 256-S, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Lise Bacon, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Adams, Bacon, Finestone, P.C., Fitzpatrick, Forrestall, Gill, Milne, Rompkey, P.C. and Spivak (9).
In attendance: Martin Brennan, special advisor to thecommittee.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on February 7, 2001, the Committee proceeded to study Bill S-7. (See Issue No. 7, Tuesday, May 8, 2001 and Wednesday, May 9, 2001, for full text of the Order of Reference).
