The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met in camera, at 8:35 a.m., this day, in room 705, Victoria Building, the Honourable Donald H. Oliver, Chair, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Chalifoux, Day, Gustafson, Hubley, Oliver, Tkachuk and Wiebe (7).
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Frédéric Forge; Jean-Denis Fréchette and Marc Leblanc.
Pursuant to rule 92(2)(e), the committee proceeded in camera for consideration of a draft report.
The Chairman made an opening remark.
The committee considered its business.
It was agreed, — That the draft work plan for the value-added study of the committee be adopted.
At 9:45 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 11, 2003, the committee began to consider issues related to the development and domestic and international marketing of value-added agricultural, agri- food and forest products.
