The committee resumed.
The Deputy Chairman: Honourable senators, I call this meeting to order.
Senator Meighen: Honourable senators, I have the honour to report that the Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs has examined clause by clause Bill C-411, to establish Merchant Navy Veterans Day, and recommends that the committee report the bill to the Senate without amendment. I move that the committee concur in the subcommittee's recommendation.
The Deputy Chairman: Is that agreed?
Hon. Senators: Agreed.
Senator Banks: When the bill is reported in the chamber, is it possible to ask that it be read the third time forthwith?
