The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met at 9:30 a.m., this day, in room 705, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Donald H. Oliver, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Comeau, Cools, Day, De Bané, P.C., Downe, Harb, Murray, P.C., Oliver and Ringuette (5).
In attendance: Guy Beaumier and Odette Madore, Research Officers, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, November 16, 2004, the committee continued its consideration of the examination of the Supplementary Estimates (A) laid before Parliament for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2005. (For complete text of the Order of Reference, please see Issue No. 3 of the proceedings of the committee.)
APPEARING:
The Honourable Reg Alcock, P.C., M.P., President of the Treasury Board and Minister responsible for the Canadian Wheat Board.

Minister Alcock made a statement and, together with the other witness, answered questions.
