The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met at 6:37 p.m., this day, in room 9, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Donald H. Oliver, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Biron, Day, Downe, Harb, Mitchell, Oliver, Ringuette and Stratton (8).
In attendance: Odette Madore, Guy Beaumier and Alex Smith Research Officers, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Monday, March 7, 2005, the committee continued its consideration of the examination of the Main Estimates laid before Parliament for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2006. (For complete text of the Order of Reference, please see Issue 14 of the Proceedings of the Committee.)
