Extract from the Journals of the Senate of Wednesday, June 8, 2005:

The Honourable Senator Stollery moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Mahovlich:

That the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs be authorized to examine and report on the documents Overview, Diplomacy, Development and Commerce of Canada's International Policy Statement, tabled in the Senate on April 19, 2005; and

That the committee report to the Senate no later than March 31, 2006.

Extract from the Journals of the Senate of Wednesday, June 15, 2005:

Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Baker, P.C., seconded by the Honourable Senator Eggleton, P.C., for the second reading of Bill S-37, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the Cultural Property Export and Import Act.

The Honourable Senator Rompkey, P.C., moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Eggleton, P.C., that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs.
