The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans has the honour to present its
EIGHTH REPORT
Your Committee, which was authorized by the Senate on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 to examine and report on issues relating to the federal government's new and evolving policy framework for managing Canada's fisheries and oceans, respectfully requests the approval of funds for fiscal year 2007-2008.
Pursuant to Chapter 3:06, section 2(1)(c), of the Senate Administrative Rules, the budget application submitted was printed in the Journals of the Senate on March 29, 2007. On April 24 2007, the Senate approved the release of $75,656 to the Committee. The report of the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration recommending the release of additional funds is appended to this report.

APPENDIX (B) TO THE REPORT

The Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration has examined the budget presented to it by the Senate Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans for the proposed expenditures of the said Committee for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2008 for the purpose of its special study of the federal government's new and evolving policy framework for managing Canada's fisheries and oceans, as authorized by the Senate on Tuesday, May 16, 2006. The approved budget is as follows:
Professional and Other Services $ 18,000 Transportation and Communications 19,628 All Other Expenditures 1,000 Total (supplementary release) $ 38,628
