The Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights met this day, at 9 a.m., in the Innes Thompson Room of the Delta Vancouver Suites, the Chair, the Honourable A. Raynell Andreychuk, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Lovelace Nicholas, Nancy Ruth and Poy (4).
In attendance: Laura Barnett, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, April 27, 2006, the committee continued its consideration of Canada's international obligations in regard to the rights and freedoms of children.
