The Senate Subcommittee on Population Health met at 9 a.m. this day, in room 257, East Block, the Chair, the Honourable Wilbert J. Keon presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Cochrane, Cook and Keon (3).
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament Research Branch: Odette Madore, Research Analyst, Economics Division, Matthew Marshall, Research Assistant, Political and Social Affairs Division and Clara Morgan, Research Analyst, Political and Social Affairs Division.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, the subcommittee continued its study on the impact of the multiple factors and conditions that contribute to the health of Canada's population — known collectively as the social determinants of health. (See Issue No. 1, Thursday, February 22, 2007, for the complete text of the Order of Reference).
