The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications has the honour to present its
EIGHTH REPORT
Your Committee, which was authorized by the Senate on Thursday, February 8, 2007, to examine and report on the objectives, operation and governance of the Canadian Television Fund, respectfully requests that it be empowered to engage the services of such counsel and technical, clerical and other personnel as may be necessary, for the purpose of its study.
Pursuant to Chapter 3:06, section 2(1)(c) of the Senate Administrative Rules, the budget submitted to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration and the report thereon of that Committee are appended to this report.

Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Bacon, seconded by the Honourable Senator Milne:
That the Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications be authorized to examine and report on the objectives, operation and governance of the Canadian Television Fund, and
That the Committee submit its final report no later than October 31, 2007.
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
