The Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs has the honour to table its

FIFTH REPORT

Your Committee, which was authorized by the Senate on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, to examine and report on the implications of including, in legislation, non-derogation clauses relating to existing Aboriginal and treaty rights of the Aboriginal peoples of Canada under s. 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982, now tables its final report entitled: Taking Section 35 Rights Seriously: Non-Derogation Clauses Relating to Aboriginal and Treaty Rights.
