The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources met in camera this day, at 9:12 a.m., in room 257, East Block, the chair, the Honourable W. David Angus, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Angus, Banks, Lang, Merchant, Neufeld, Peterson, Sibbeston and St. Germain, P.C. (8).
Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Brown and Fraser (2).
In attendance: Sam Banks and Marc Leblanc, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, the committee continued its examination of emerging issues related to its mandate (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 2.)
Pursuant to rule 92(2)(e), the committee considered its future agenda.
It was agreed that senators' staff be authorized to remain in the room.
At 10 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
