Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Martin, seconded by the Honourable Senator Nancy Ruth, for the second reading of Bill C-6, An Act respecting the safety of consumer products.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Martin moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Neufeld, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology.
