Second reading of Bill C-3, An Act to promote gender equity in Indian registration by responding to the Court of Appeal for British Columbia decision in McIvor v. Canada (Registrar of Indian and Northern Affairs).

The Honourable Senator Brazeau moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Segal, that the bill be read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Brazeau moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Ataullahjan, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights.
