The Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs of the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence met this day at 12:08 p.m., in room 257, East Block, the chair, the Honourable Tommy Banks, presiding.
Members of the subcommittee present: The Honourable Senators Banks, Dickson, Manning, Pépin and Wallin (5).
In attendance: James S. Cox, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament; and Francine Pressault, Communications Officer, Communications Directorate.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, and delegated on Monday, April 12, 2010 by the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence, the subcommittee continued its study on the services and benefits provided to members of the Canadian Forces; to veterans; to members and former members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and their families (Implementation of the new veterans charter).
