The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met this day at 4:17 p.m., in room 160- S, Centre Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Percy E. Downe, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Dallaire, Demers, Downe, Hubley, Johnson, Nolin, Robichaud, P.C., Smith, P.C. (Cobourg), Wallace and Wallin (10).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Fortin-Duplessis (1).
In attendance: Brian Hermon and Natalie Mychajlyszyn, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Friday, June 22, 2012, the committee continued its examination of Bill S-10, An Act to implement the Convention on Cluster Munitions. (For the complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 14.)
WITNESS:

Earl Turcotte.
Mr. Turcotte made a statement and answered questions.
At 5:40 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 5:45 p.m., pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee resumed in camera to consider a draft agenda.
It was agreed that senators' staff be permitted to remain for the in camera portion of the meeting.
At 5:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the deputy chair.
