Your committee, which was authorized by the Senate on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 to examine and report on the evolving legal and political recognition of the collective identity and rights of the Métis in Canada, now tables its twelfth report, an interim report entitled "The People Who Own Themselves'': Recognition of Métis Identity in Canada.
