The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources met this day at 6:06 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable W. David Angus, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Angus, Banks, Boisvenu, Dickson, Frum, Mitchell, Neufeld, Peterson, Seidman, Sibbeston and Wallace (11).
In attendance: Marc LeBlanc and Sam Banks, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament; and Ceri Au, Communications Officer, Communications Directorate.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, June 16, 2011, the committee continued its examination of the current state and future of Canada's energy sector (including alternative energy). (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 2.)

Carmen Krogh, member of the board;
Beth Harrington, Communications Director.
Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association:
Terry Kimmel, Vice President.
Hydrogenics Corporation:
Daryl Wilson, President and Chief Executive Officer.
The chair made an opening statement.
Ms. Krogh and Ms. Harrington made a statement and answered questions.
At 7:22 p.m., it was agreed that the Honourable Senator Mitchell do take the chair.
The deputy chair made a statement.
Mr. Kimmel and Mr. Wilson made a statement and answered questions.
At 8:03 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
