The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources met in camera this day, at 9:02 a.m., in room 257, East Block, the chair, the Honourable W. David Angus, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Angus, Brown, Johnson, Lang, Massicotte, Mitchell, Neufeld, Peterson, Seidman, Sibbeston and Wallace (11).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator McCoy (1).
In attendance: Marc LeBlanc, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament, and Sebastian Gault, writer.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, June 16, 2011, the committee continued its examination of the current state and future of Canada's energy sector (including alternative energy). (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 2.)
Pursuant to rule 92(2)(e), the committee considered a draft agenda (future business).
It was agreed that the committee distribute a unilingual English draft of an outline for their final energy study report, with the translation to follow.
At 10:19 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
