The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources met this day, at 5:09 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Richard Neufeld, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Brown, Johnson, Lang, Massicotte, Mitchell, Neufeld, Ringuette, Seidman, Sibbeston, Wallace and White (11).
In attendance: Marc LeBlanc and Sam Banks, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, the committee continued its examination on the subject-matter of those elements contained in Divisions 4, 18 and 21 of Part 4 of Bill C-45, A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 29, 2012 and other measures. Mr. Bleaney, Mr. Barnes and Mr. McCaig each made a statement and answered questions.
