The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources met in camera this day, at 9:07 a.m., in room 257, East Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Grant Mitchell, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Fortin-Duplessis, Lang, Massicotte, Mitchell, Patterson, Ringuette, Seidman and Wallace (8).

In attendance: Marc LeBlanc and Sam Banks, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft agenda.

At 9:34 a.m., the committee continued in public.

The deputy chair made a statement.

It was agreed that the following special study budget application (hydrocarbon transportation), for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2013, be approved and that the chair be authorized to submit the application to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration:

Professional and Other Services	$ 9,253
Transportation and Communications	$ 110,990
All Other Expenditures	$ 6,500
TOTAL	$ 126,743

At 9:38 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
