The Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs met at 10:35 a.m. this day, in room 257, East Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Joan Fraser presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Angus, Baker, P.C., Boisvenu, Chaput, Dagenais, Di Nino, Fraser, Joyal, P.C., Mitchell, Runciman, Unger and White (12).
In attendance: Robin MacKay, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, April 26, 2012, the committee continued its consideration of Bill S-209, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (prize fights).
WITNESSES:
