Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Runciman, seconded by the Honourable Senator Eaton, for the second reading of Bill S-209, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (prize fights).
After debate,
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
The bill was then read the second time.
The Honourable Senator Runciman moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Poirier, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.
